Friday night I took an unexpected ride in an ambulance. I was having severe chest pains and 3 nitro pills didn't help, so 911 was called.

A stent was installed on Tuesday and I feel much better. This is stent #3. Two in my heart and one in my carotid artery.I should be fully recovered in a week or two. Luckily, I did not have a heart attack. Only angina pains.

If you have any chest pains, I urge you to call 911 immediately. Time is truly of the essence. Don't be the tough, stubborn guy. Make the call. My brother and I are the oldest men in the Curtis family back 19 generations. My dad had a massive coronary failure at 56. Luckily for me, mom is 100 and comes from a long line of centenarians.

glad you got that taken care of. A month ago, I went to the ER with bad case of heart burn and sweating like a hooker in church. Spent a few days in the hospital getting a full cardio workup. Thankfully everything went well. They didn't find anything wrong, a little buildup in the LAD, but nothing close to needing a sent.

So now I have a heart DR in my rotation of doctors. No real explanation why I was feeling the way I was, maybe stress or panic attack?? I'll be 60 at the end of this year, which will help raise my family average for men. Most in my dad's generation passed in their mid to late 50's with heart issues.

Made some big diet changes and have dropped close to 10lbs in little over a month with more to lose.

So very happy that you went in and got everything taken care of. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (that's not beer in those glasses; it's water just splashing around) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
