Any reason that a smog pulley off the fan hub of a late 914 wouldn't work as the pulley to power a modern A/C compressor?

its rubber mounted... many of them are failing now with age.
I'm not sure if the rubber and leverage of the extension would handle a heavy load.. assuming the A/C system would take more HP and more load than the small smog pump does on a stock system. |
