Any reason that a smog pulley off the fan hub of a late 914 wouldn't work as the pulley to power a modern A/C compressor?

Yes BUT most of the rubber hubs are trash. Have to make sure you have a good one.

Yes BUT most of the rubber hubs are trash. Have to make sure you have a good one. @914Sixer Yeah the factory parts are all wasted to speak of, but these parts are just metal, there is no sacrificial rubber on it.
