Hi, I'm resurrecting this thread to see if there is a kit solution out there now. I'm looking for a rear trunk release kit asap. Thanks, Luke. Hi all, I’m bringing this topic back to the top in hopes of tracking down a rear trunk release kit—ideally the Engman-style mechanical pull kit. I’ve eliminated the factory push-button by replacing that entire section with custom metalwork (similar in shape to the PORSCHE reflector, but all steel and blended flush with the trunk and tail lights). So now I need a clean, internal way to release the trunk. I’ve searched extensively and haven’t been able to find an off-the-shelf solution from 914Rubber, JWest, etc. If anyone: • Has an Engman kit for sale • Knows where to get one • Would be willing to lend or share dimensions/photos so I can reverse engineer and fabricate my own …I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! |
