As much as we all hate oil threads... here's an oil thread.
What's the latest on race oil for a 4 cyl. Mine's dry sump, dual coolers pretty heavily built 2.6L It holds roughly 10 qts all told.
I've used Amsoil racing in the past, but it's gotten $$$$$.
Locally I can get most of the LiquiMoly products. I've run that in my (street) 911 and it's quieter and leaks less.
I've also run the Brad Penn products, which are now called something else. I can also get that locally.
Many like VR1. I've never tried it.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

VR1, but trying motul classic performance per my mech recco on my 3.4, I’m trying to find one type for all my cars so I can grab a can and go, not worry about stocking different types for different cars.

Oh and BTW if you haven’t checked it out yet, do the math on fcp euros return policy, buy the 1st oil change kit, then every subsequent you send back the used oil, filter, etc for a full refund… you end up paying shipping ($30 or so for 10qts oil). But when I’m changing oil on 3 cars annually, more so on the track car.. it gets rid of the old oil and filter and is super cost effective for good oil…
