Can the TRIPmeter cable still run through the reset procedure - in order of 0000 to 1111 to 2222 to (and so on), if the toothed gear for the ODOmeter has come loose?
This is the situation I currently have. Speedometer works, Odometer does not, trip is also not counting - but trip cable turns the 4 digit gears thru the range. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a cable attachment issue before pulling the gauge and breaking it all apart AGAIN. |

If I recall, the trip works off the odometer gear lowend with a forward-only ratchet mechanism. The reset shaft drives the trip gears directly. So yep, get to pull it out and apart...  |
