My 73 has the original steering wheel. Looking at a few threads, I gather 360mm is stock. Thing is I am 6'2". Have no problem fitting in the 914 itself, but the steering wheel is awkward at best. Can another member who is similarly tall post a photo of another smaller wheel as they sit in the drivers seat? Thinking a 350mm may solve my problems? Though looking at other photos maybe obscure the gauges a little. Still better then having my knees on the sides of it!

I'm 6'2" and use a 350mm steering wheel. I do have several gauges rotated so the important stuff is in view.
And since i have two eyes, i took two images with a slight offset. Combine the two and you get pretty much exactly what i see when i drive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) ![]() ![]() |

If the wheel itself were thinner that would be less of a problem maybe. Slick though how you rotated them to compensate. |
