My 73 has the original steering wheel. Looking at a few threads, I gather 360mm is stock. Thing is I am 6'2". Have no problem fitting in the 914 itself, but the steering wheel is awkward at best. Can another member who is similarly tall post a photo of another smaller wheel as they sit in the drivers seat? Thinking a 350mm may solve my problems? Though looking at other photos maybe obscure the gauges a little. Still better then having my knees on the sides of it!

6'1", I sit pretty much all the way back to get my leg length just right.
Then a 370mm Momo Prototipo (to not obscure the gauges), Momo extension to get the wheel closer, and the JWest eccentric to move it up. Works great for me. |

And a have a crush on that Momo. Have a photo of how this looks? |

Sitting upright with the phone right up against my eyes.
![]() Edit: and the usual question I get: what's with the LEDs? I added those some time ago when I installed the Speedhut tach. I didn't like where the wanring lights were anyway so I got LEDs and installed them in a more-visible location, wired to the same wires in the back. Left to right: - Yellow = GEN light - Red = oil pressure light like Porsche should have done to begin with! - Green = turn signal - Blue - high beams ![]() |
