I've been in talks for a couple weeks with a local who's trying to buy my finished project car. He wants to have it picked up and taken to a local shop (who supposedly does Porsche race builds, etc). I don't really know the buyer that well, besides meeting him when he first came to see the car and test drive it (seems like an honest character). I have the title and I'll keep that until the actual sale, but what steps should be taken to insure nothing nefarious takes place? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

He came to test drive the car, just before he left for an out of country vacation. Had a list of items he wanted addressed before taking possession - which was denied, but agreed price was slightly altered at that point. I can not drive the car to PPI, cause it's not registered etc. The shop is resisting coming here for the PPI (I've no garage and it's 90+ out, so I kind of get it). |
