Funny, but a 3.6 conversion has more power and no fabrication besides the engine tin.

Very true but so does an LS engine. But a 908 engine, custom fitted to a 914 by Porsche is a very special machine.
A year or two ago I read an article that interviewed one of the Porsche employees that actually fitted the engine to the car and worked on all their special projects. That article had value.
This article refers to the cars as prototypes. They were never prototypes of anything Porsche intended to produce. They were specially modified cars to be given to two specific people.

I lust after the silver one.
