76 2.0 fi stock, 130k mikes
The trans shifts perfectly, but if I try to put it in 1st gear, I usually have to “get the gears spinning” w the clutch out, then in, count to 3 and it drops right in. Is that normal or an indication a syncro is out on first gear? The engine is coming out for a dead cylinder repair or rebuild, and I’m wondering if I should have the tranny rebuilt too… |

I often need to engage reverse then drop into first when completely stopped
just received the "alignment jig" from Tangerine, will give it a try next time I am under her |
