I just found time to check the oil in the car (914/6 conversion 2.4 spec).

After bringing it to temp and ensuring the car was on a level area, I pulled the dip stick several times, cleaning after each pull, the oil appears to be significantly higher than necessary, at least 1" past MAX.
The car was running at the time of the check.

1. Should I check with the car not running as well?
2. Time to remove and refill to the proper level?

Thanks all.....
Trying to figure out the specifics of the '6' with the little time I have currently.

Is this an original or conversion?

Our recent /6 conversion required 11 or so qt's to get a reading on the dipstick. but smoked badly. PMS oil tank

I drained a couple qt's and now running about 9

still have an issue with dipstick length (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Conversion to 2.4L (Euro)
Stock oil cooler and appears to be stock tank, although I may not know how to tell the difference between stock tank and others.....I will need to research this more.
