Today marks the official beginning of my 1974 Porsche 914-4 restoration project.
      I'm hoping to have the car on the road before its 50 anniversary. |

More progress.
I cleaned up my brake calipers and the pressure regulator and had them zinc plated. Refurbished my pedal cluster and installed the master cylinder and brake fluid reservoir. I installed the parking brake cables and the handle. I also installed colored LED lights all the way around.               |

This is amazing progress and documentation! I am about to start my own 914 rebuild and this is seriously inspiring me! Thank you!
Question, what is the best method you found for cleaning some of these rusted and grimy parts like the break calipers etc? Are you sending them off to get them cleaned as well or are you doing most of that before having them zinc coated? |
