Would you say the shifter or more precisely - the shifting action, when set correctly, is "square" or slightly angled (like 2-3 and 4-5 is in an angled plain)... or maybe it can be set either way?
The car I recently set up, seems like 1st gear is quite a bit in, towards your right thigh while in 1st .. and maybe the 2-3 and 4-5 were slightly angled. Does that seem correct or is there an adjustment that should be made to correct it? |

Yes, the shifter arm, with the knob attached, can pull right out of the receiver. Over time the epoxy, or whatever Porsche used to connect them, comes loose and the arm will come out. That was how my Six was when I bought it. We removed the shifter and welded the lever into the receiver so it will not happen again. That gave us the opportunity to slightly adjust the arm to how I like it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
