OT: MaxJax Coupling is Leaking, Started leaking after last install Options

I've moved the posts several times. This last time there was a puddle of fluid on the post. Looks like it's coming from the coupling.

Anyone else have this issue? Anything I can do to mitigate the leak. I've reached out to MaxJax about it.

Jerry, I went thru this last year. I called MaxxJaxx and they sent a replacement. IIRC, it was ~$70. The replacement didn't look like the original and it began leaking immediately. I called them back and told them it was defective and to send me another free of charge. I took a few minutes to align them with my way of thinking but they sent another "as a one time deal" only. When it arrived I decided not to install it since it looked just like the one they sent previously. Suffice it to say that the original coupling was on for 9-10 years w/o a hiccup. And the only reason it began to leak was because I ran over it with the '70 that has fat tires. OK, I wasn't paying close attention. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) There I said it. The other side with the original coupler (the dusty one in the pics) is still holding. Do what I did in the pic's. The fittings are all 3/8" npt threads. I recommend you use brass since it is a softer material and will seal better. Galvanized or a black steel union is OK "IF" they have a small brass facing on the inside of the union. That brass face is eliminated on the most of the cheap Chinese crap I see lately. Did they charge extra for those snazzy red wheels? LOL
