Hey guys - I'm not sure if this is a subject that has been beaten to death before (I certainly wasn't able to find any threads on it), but has anyone here ever attempted to make use of the boxster or cousin 996 gauge clusters in a conversion? I was able to find a pin-out diagram for the boxster cluster which makes it look doable. Just curious if there was any fancy shmancy communications between the cluster and the ECU that would need to be worked around?

10 years have gone by - but do you happen to have the arduino sketch and circuit diagram you used for this? I'm thinking of going down the same road?

10 years have gone by - but do you happen to have the arduino sketch and circuit diagram you used for this? I'm thinking of going down the same road? Hi Wasz - got distracted from this project as raising kids turns out to be take a lot of time! I've just started to re-engage with my overall build (this included) this summer, but don't have plans on attacking the electrical projects until this winter so that `i can take advantage of the warmer temps and dryer weather for fiberglassing and other fabrication projects. In short - I don't have any sketches developed and I'm going to need to re-explore the microcontroller space now that its been so long. I did source a small stepper motor controller, but need to dig through all my stuff to get you part numbers (let me know if you are interested). Should be a pretty straight forward to program. I'm anticipating that the 'work' is all going to be in how best to package everything together! |
