It’s sort of amazing when you stop and think about how difficult it used to be to get reliable information on our cars.
Factory manual was absurdly expensive. D-jet technical information as almost non-existent unless you had access to dealer materials. The 914 newsletter thing (can’t remember the formal name) was about the only reliable source of 914 information . . . And even then that was prone to errors and mythology. Any mechanical mentors I had only questioned my sanity & manliness for playing with those “little cars and little engines” instead of a manly V8 in some muscle car with an archaic suspension and drum brakes all the way around.
