Because I don't have enough to do, that's why.
I've fallen in love with the Group 5 car that's recently been delivered to The Red Barn where we're going to give it a bit of love and improvement. This will be covered in various "At The Red Barn" YouTube videos. THIS thread will cover my attempt to build my own set of Group 5 body panels. @FL000 @Shivers Scanning generates what's called a "mesh". To print, I need a solid body. To do that, the mesh gets opened in Fusion and is used as the basis to reverse engineer the shapes and work up the surfaces (or body) that'll be printed, machined, etc.
Depending on the complexity of the shape(s), it can be a ton of work, especially for a newbie like me who's learning as they go. So don't hold your breath on this. It's probably going to be a little while. |
