Reluctant Sale!
Former TX 914 with minimal rust. Previous family owned the car over 40+ years. Pros: Rare (one year only) L99K Copper Metallic exterior! Near Flawless OG factory dash! Engine recently rebuilt by Vintage Porsche VW expert Tony Proasi using new AA cylinder heads and AA Big Bore Kit Factory Appearance Group w/ Fog Lights / Center Console and Gauges PORSCHE Rear Center Reflector PORSCHE Aftermarket Embossed Rocker Panels Riviera Alloy Wheels New Fuel Tank and Fuel Line Screen Factory Bosch 1.8 L Jet Fuel Injection with new dual FI relay, fuel filter, vacuum hoses and fuel hoses Bursch Performance Exhaust System New Battery New Accelerator Pedal and Pedal Pads New Fully Retracting Antenna with Key Replaced Oil Filler Funnel and installed new Oil Filler Cap O Ring and Oil Filler Housing base gasket Starts right up, runs and idles great! Driven as-is to several Car Shows and C&C's. Also included: Excellent used factory battery tray with stand (has all factory mounts for ECU, etc.), factory correct 75 1.8 charcoal canister and bracket with new hoses, and front metal cover for under tank / steering rack area. Cons: Older repaint in the original L99K color is a “10 footer” with several dings, dents, scratches, peeling clear coat, etc. Brakes work but likely need attention. Needs clutch cable adjusted or possibly replaced. Small oil leak at oil temp sender (likely an easy fix with new / additional gasket). Design flaw / very common 914 issue. Wipers, fresh air blower and horn not working. (may be easy fixes ex: tach was inop and simply needed wire switched to the other coil terminal). Needs J tubes and topside heater blower hoses. NOTE: Heater blower does work and heater flapper boxes present. May need 1 or more heater cables replaced. 90% tread on tires with minimal dry rot, but tires are extremely old and possibly out of round Rust present on rear 1" of battery tray (have repair sheet metal, see above), small amount in hell hole area and on underside near passenger side rear “donut”, drivers side qtr. panel adjacent to roof sail panel, bubbling on back trunk edge and perforation near center back edge of rear trunk floor. Have pics of all these areas. Running, driving 914 that would be great solid “driver” with a few fixes or an Excellent full restoration candidate! Please PM with your email address I’ll provide additional information and / or additional pics. Price: Sale on Hold for now NOTE: Car is currently in Louisville, KY Mileage: 50710 TMU |
