Editing this as I can sell this in several ways: Complete package, or all the parts for the 914/6 conversion (911S engine, headers, exhaust, engine mounts, oil tank, metal fender flares, 930 Turbo genuine Fuchs, minus the 914 car/title.
I am considering selling my 1972 914 project that I rescued a few years ago. It has sat in my shop and all I have done is source parts for it. Body is very rust free (for a 914) and a very solid start to building a proper 914/6 tribute car. Kit includes the following: 1972 914 appearance group car with great longs and no hell hole issues. Sitting on Fuchs minus engine and transmission. Originally Alaska or Adrianic Blue. Good MD title in my name. 1974 911S engine with Zeniths, was a spare engine for a 911 project, good leak down numbers. Two 914 side shift 5 speed transmissions for rebuilding 916/6 oil tank and lines 914/6 headers - jet hot coated Ben's awesome dual outlet Stainless exhaust 914/6 engine mounts 914/6 cooling tins (aftermarket kit) 930 Turbo genuine Fuchs in staggered fitment so 7" front and 9" rear (I believe) in good condition Complete 911 SC front and rear suspension and brakes Steel 914-GT style flares for front and rear Lots of spare seats, center console, trim and other items I am forgetting. Only reason I am considering selling this is that I was offered a 911S project that will need work and really can't justify both. I can part this all out and get my money back, but wanted to offer it here first as a package since I have found all the good parts and it would be a really great project for the right person. I'll post some more pictures shortly. Asking $20K car is located in Frederick, MD (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1756933969.1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1756933970.2.jpg) |

So body pictures are next. History of the car is it was on the road about 10 years before going into long term storage since the early 80's. I pulled it out of the owner's mother's garage and under all the dust it is in remarkable shape. They say that there is no such thing as a non-rusty 914 and that is true. But this car was kept from the elements, so the fixes that the body needs are very minor in comparison to most 914's. Outer sheetmetal, fenders, hood, trunk, doors rockers, longs are all in great shape. Both jacking points are intact, but the box around both should be cut off and replace, which is normal The driver's side b post has some rust thru at the bottom, but just needs a minor patch. Floor on the driver's side also needs patched along the rocker, but overall very solid. Front and rear trunks are rust free and clean. Engine compartment is clean as well. Hell hole has the battery tray missing, and one small hole, but the frame rail, long, suspension mounting points and the entire engine compartment trays are untouched and in great shape. Biggest thing is that there is not "previous owner" botched repairs, so you just need to clean it up, patch the small hole and install a replacement battery tray. So lets start with the hell hole and go from there.(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025436.1.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025436.2.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025437.3.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025437.4.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025437.5.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025437.6.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025437.7.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025438.8.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025438.9.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025438.10.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025438.11.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025438.12.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025439.13.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025439.14.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025439.15.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/carsofmyyouth.com-25816-1757025439.16.jpg)
