AFAIK our cars were finished with a synthol enamel, probably one tack coat and 2 full coats. I am not interested in going base coat/clear coat and am looking forward to an original or close to the original orange peel. How is this measured (profilometer), what was the original?

But I'm not that crazy. I am currently blocking everything and will try a few samples this weekend. Perfection is far from my MO, a decent finish with some orange peel, not too many waves and shiny is the goal a mirror finish is not the goal |
