What is special about this jam nut for the accelerator cable? 914-423-287-00
The PDF parts catalog describes it as "hexagon nut", and only lists it under the 914-6 models and it doesn't appear to be used anywhere else on the car. I've of course searched the interwebs. It is NLA and I can't find any photos of it. I assume they gave it a unique part number for a reason... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) ![]() |

I doubt its anything special, I think its just used to lock the sheath to the bracket on the transmission, basically a sandwich. I don't have the stock bracket, but one from Rich Johnson and its the same as the other one on the other side of the bracket. Curious to see if there's actually a need for a separate part number.
