What is special about this jam nut for the accelerator cable? 914-423-287-00

The PDF parts catalog describes it as "hexagon nut", and only lists it under the 914-6 models and it doesn't appear to be used anywhere else on the car. I've of course searched the interwebs. It is NLA and I can't find any photos of it. I assume they gave it a unique part number for a reason... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I did a lot of searching for Porsche, VW, and generic parts. Couldn't find anything identical. This Tall Fixture Nut from BelMetric is the closest approximation I could find. It appears to be 1mm taller than your original. I guess one could turn down the hex on half of it to get the collar.
