Hi
This is the bottom of my air cleaner lid. Anyone else get this and where’s it from? Do I need to fix it? Kevin Attached thumbnail(s) |

Could it be reversion back through the carburetors? (small pressure waves coming back up the intake tract from exhaust pressure during overlap and/or rapid valve closure). More likely to occur on motors with an aggressive cam shaft and driving conditions where the throttle plate is open at relatively low engine speed.

More likely to occur on motors with an aggressive cam shaft and driving conditions where the throttle plate is open at relatively low engine speed. It may be related to some of that. I have no idea what kind of cam is in there but it doesn't lope... but if we take off imediately it syutters a little till igets warm when the revs are low. so; Saturday l let it idle for a good 10 minutes before leaving. for a 35 mile ride. Some oil and bronze but not a lot. Sunday we left immediately and it stuttered on the way out of the plan, 23 mile ride and the build up was cosiderably more than Saturday But what does that mean?
