Well, I'm stumped. Short of disassembling my engine again I have no other guesses.
No P&Cs, just crank and rods installed. Crank turns and moves fore to aft freely. No shims, no rear main seal, no flywheel o ring. When bolts are seated but not torqued, crank is frozen. As soon as i loosen the flywheel bolts, I can rotate crank and have some fore to aft movement. I swapped flywheels, same symptom. I'm thinking bearing problem but I am hoping I did something stupid and don't have to tear it down. |

IIRC the plug on the lower left side of the case is the one that causes the most problems as it sticks out the most.
But, you also want to be careful that you don't get too overly aggressive with drilling the hole for the tap. Best wishes for a successful fix! |
