i will be replacing the Sail Cloth and was wondering what grit to sand the paint to make sure the glue sticks the best. also,what kind of glue should i use?

As long as there’s no wax, polish or silicone on the paint, abrasive isn’t required. DAP Landau Top vinyl contact adhesive is the best, but can be hard to find in a quart. 3M spray super trim adhesive works good too.
