I (perhaps stupidly) entered my 914 to be part of a High School homecoming parade. I figure I can either carry one passenger (seated), or perhaps 1-2 seated up on the targa bar. This will be strictly parade duty; probably 5mph.

It putting one or two people up on the targa bar a non-starter? Am I putting my rear window and/or bodywork at risk?

It’s a roll bar. It can handle the weight of the car. I saw the aftermath of one that rolled down an embankment. The front windshield was smashed down to the height of the targa bar, but the targa bar was unscathed except for the edges were a little rounded. In the late 70’s and early 80’s, I used to cruise the avenue. We would sit on the targa bar, eat a burger and watch the cars go by. I miss those days!!
