Ok put in a single spade bulb socket and connected the red/white wire so right side lights up as red but stays on even if hand brake is not engaged. Anyone else have an early gauge like this and can explain. Thx!

Ok put in a single spade bulb socket and connected the red/white wire so right side lights up as red but stays on even if hand brake is not engaged. Anyone else have an early gauge like this and can explain. Thx! Can’t use a single spade light The +12v red/white then grounds to the gauge case through the bulb and is on 100% of the time. You need a dual spade lamp just like what is already there on the other side - and of course you’d need to find a ground wire from either the park brake switch or the master cylinder switch to control it. As Montreal states . . . Has some neat potential to be used as an indicator for what ever you might want. |
