Thanks to a world member pointing this out on facebook marketplace. It was spelled wrong and slid under my search. Scheel 303 seat. Built and upholstered almost exactly like a 914 seat. Used on some 914-6GT’s. Hopefully this is a quick project - famous last words. If I can get a local upholstery shop to make new vinyl upholstery, I can reassemble and take care of the rest. Finding the really thin corduroy might be a challenge but I’m sure it’s out there and I don’t need much.

Mark this thread is so good to see.
My seats were in good overall condition but had two issues. First was that a slot was put in the seat bottom for a submarine belt. Second was that the corduroy inserts were baggy. My results are by no means perfect but do show what can be done with existing Scheel Mann corduroy It's also good to learn that the material is available should anyone need to do a complete reupholstery Attached thumbnail(s) |
