I've read up on different posts and I am familiar with how to make adjustments to my shifter linkage. My question is around pressure/tension to shift out of first gear.

I'm to the point where I've adjusted linkage to get into each of the gears easily. Originally had an issue with not getting to first (kept popping out of gear). And all the gears but first shift back to neutral with minimal pressure except for first. First gear takes quite a bit of pressure to get back to neutral. Reverse is similar to all the other gears. All other gears give more of a "click" back to neutral where as 1st gear is more of a "thunk" with more pressure to get back.

I have no frame of reference since my shift linkage was off when I bought the car. Should first gear back to neutral feel similar to the other gears or is what I described normal?

I've already confirmed that the transmission is at the appropriate locations for each of the gears. And should mention that without the linkage attached I could put the transmission into any gear easily.

In the meantime, I'm going to try to make slight tweaks to the shifter linkage to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

Is this an option: https://tangerineracing.com/shop/ols/produc...-alignment-tool

I recently purchased one of these but have yet to try it out. My 2056 is shifting well
