I Have a 76 2.0 that has been parked for over 30 years ..I have been going through it trying to get it back in running order fuel tank has been cleaned and coated, new fuel lines, fuel pump, vacuum hoses, plugs rotor, cap, sent injectors in to Mr. Injector to be cleaned and tested. The car will fire andstart for a second, but won't run. Fuel pressure and spark are good, where do I go next?

not saying this is correct but it sure sounds like what i went through recommissioning mine 5 years back. it was an L jet that had sat for 16 years.

when time came to start it, she would fire and run for a few seconds. around 4-5 seconds at most.

i had reinstalled the original injectors i had cleaned and then tested.

we diagnosed it was firing on the cold start injector, but the main injectors were kaput despite the cleaning. and testing. basically the pintels get corroded and though they can be cleaned and made to work, this does not last for long before they jam again due to the micro scaled corrosion. between having them cleaned and reinstalling, maybe a month or so they had resumed inoperational state.

i managed to get some NOS l jet injectors. installed them.
it fired and ran.

could be whats going on with you.
