Fun fact! I sold that 914 to Fox Business for the show. Mark Oja(from Overhaulin' and American Hot Rod) worked with Fox on that first season to help coordinate the builds. I talked with Patrick many times during the build to help guide him through the mechanical aspects of the car. Unfortunately, the show was on a very tight budget and the build reflects that. I know Patrick is very talented and could have built the car to a much higher level if the schedule and budget allowed. But the gentleman that received the car was very happy with it and drove it often! While the car was a great distraction for him,he was in very bad health. I haven't spoken to him in a few years, which lead me to believe that he might have passed. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. I do know that he taught his sons how to drive it so they could enjoy the car for years to come.
