I Have a 76 2.0 that has been parked for over 30 years ..I have been going through it trying to get it back in running order fuel tank has been cleaned and coated, new fuel lines, fuel pump, vacuum hoses, plugs rotor, cap, sent injectors in to Mr. Injector to be cleaned and tested. The car will fire andstart for a second, but won't run. Fuel pressure and spark are good, where do I go next?

Start simple and work from there. If you give it starter fluid will it keep running?
As stated above, check if the mps will hold vacuum 17 inhg. Although plenum leaks are bad, they will just cause a high idle. When it does run for that moment, does it sound ok or is it running badly? Does it always start and run briefly? |
