Heads-up for fellow teeners: Blaupunkt’s new “Frankfurt Stereo” is coming

I came across this and thought others might be interested.
Blaupunkt is launching the Frankfurt Stereo retro car radio (expected Spring 2026). It’s styled like a 1970s unit, so it should look right at home in a 914 dash, but it still includes modern features like A 3″ Digital Colour Display, DAB+, FM/AM, Bluetooth streaming and hands-free, USB/AUX, and multi-channel pre-amp output.

The form factor and styling look era-correct with the black face, chrome trim, rotary knobs, and push buttons. Could be a nice option for anyone wanting a stock-looking setup with modern functionality.

anyone got a depth dimension on these units.
i have explored internet trying so see if its shorter in depth than original units,
and can't find a dimension.

reason i ask,
down here in north antartica i doomed re fitment of original piece of crap sapphire radio, charming as it was, and as sentimental as i am about my banana peel shredding 1.8, because i had to "butcher" it according to the 914 expert dr. 914 to have a 914 in north antarctica 30 years ago and convert it to rhd. and therefore face the impossibility of the assymetrical fire wall. shitty saphirre would not go back in. too deep.

but now i am very interested if these units are shallow enough to go in the hole that lurks behind the basketweave.

i reckon these radios look the horn.

not that i listen to the radio when i drive my 914. i don't. don't have one. and even if i had one i probably would not listen to it. but i sure would like to think about listening to one and looking at one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
