I have a hex bar linkage and I want to install a CSP linkage. Do you think I can reuse my existing throttle cable bracket and cable? The orientation/angle appears like it should work, but wanted to check because I figure someone else has done this before.

Thanks!

Bryan

I think you need to rotate the bell crank 180 so the cable connection is on the other side and in the middle of the case half’s. The way you have it the cable when pulled would try to close the throttle plates. Then sync the carbs at idle with linkage unhooked from bell crank using a snail gauge. Next adjust the rods so they bolt to bell crank without moving it when you drop the bolt through the bracket ends and install the nut. That should get you close and you can then re sync the carbs by fine tuning the rod length on the side without the idle screw with both jam nuts loose on the ends. I think I got mine really close that way and only had to adjust the one rod on one side maybe a half turn or less to get the carbs in perfect sync. You can adjust one rod with it idiling and hear it smooth out when they sync. Then check it at higher RPMS with a snail gauge to make sure it is good at higher RPMS. Hope that helps that is the best I can explain it. Maybe someone else will chime in with a better method.
