I am changing oil and got stuck at the oil strainer. The outer piece has come off and i have removed the paper washer that was under it. It was not easy to pull the outer piece off.
I removed what I will call an odd nut that connects to a stud that is now sticking out of the retained portion of the oil strainer. The strainer appears to be aluminum. I can not dislodge this inner piece to get to the strainer and to complete the job as intented.
Is this a common issue? Any solution/ Naturally not forcing the issue.
