So the horn on my new ( to me) 914 doesn’t work. Pulled the 911 horn pad off just now and as you can see, the brown wire is taped off. Wondering why. But at least I know why we have no sound. Where’s it supposed to attach?

Position 2 is the factory location. The tab that connects to the female connector is broken. I've never seen the horn wire in position one. Position 2 grounds when the button/horn pad is depressed. I think where it is currently it is always grounding causing your horn to sound all the time.
