A question for the experts here(or anyone who knows the answer).. how do these pieces attach to the steering column/ clamshell? Do they just slide in ? I can’t seem to make them stay. 70 914/6.

The parts are ~ $52 each ?
Top and bottom are sold seperate for total of $100. + ?
