So when I’m just turning left without applying the brakes, the front and back turn signals work as they should. With the brake applied the turn signals do not blink.

The right side works correctly. It’s a 1973 model.

I did install the Spoke led front turn signal boards but I’m not sure if it did the same thing before the LED change. I only noticed because a car behind honked at me when I was turning left.

Any ideas for this problem would be appreciated.

Call the spoke guys to see what they say. Here is my thoughts… others may have different ideas.

In general… the LED lights in turn signals draw a lot less power. This affects the flasher… as the flasher technology uses the power to trigger. When your brake lights are off there is enough power going thru the circuit and the flasher pulses correctly. When the brake lights come on… its drawing power over to those lights and away from the turn signals circuit. The flasher then no longer has enough power to pulse.

There is a fix… you can search for it. It involves changing the flasher.
