So when I’m just turning left without applying the brakes, the front and back turn signals work as they should. With the brake applied the turn signals do not blink.

The right side works correctly. It’s a 1973 model.

I did install the Spoke led front turn signal boards but I’m not sure if it did the same thing before the LED change. I only noticed because a car behind honked at me when I was turning left.

Any ideas for this problem would be appreciated.

You've got one of the turn signal buckets mis-wired. Could be front, could be rear.

Time to dig into the LED swap you did and carefully check where everything is hooked up.
