I took out my heater blower for access to the area underneath it, and while it is out I thought to replace these rather old, yellowed and slightly corroded connnectors.

The couplings came off the motor easily enough, but I was not able to easily remove the wires from the couplings - I had originally thought they were just another spade connector that should come off with a little coaxing, but they look somewhat different... Is there something special about these guys, were they not designed to be removed?
