Has anyone had success repairing / replacing a broken stud in the front bumper top molding? One of the studs snapped off during disassembly, despite several soakings in Sea Foam. Best I can tell these are molded into the rubber. I can't think of a way to remove the remaining stud without making things worse. I could of course melt it out, but then I have no way to set a new stud. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
![]() I realize new ones are available for sale. This one is in quite good shape with the exception of that stud. Seems a shame to trash it. Especially when the new ones are hundreds of dollars. |

It's been several years, but IIRC, I was able to weld a washer to a suitable bolt and weld it to the internal steel of the bumper top IF the internal steel of the bumper top is solid enough to be welded to.
