The Kenwood has a remote microphone for phone calls, which mounts nicely above the ignition switch.
Lastly, operating the head unit can be a pain in the 914, as it's closer to the passenger side, with lots of fiddly buttons. Luckily, it has a remote, which I have velcro'ed to my center drink holder. Overall, it's a decent system. Despite being 10 years old, it still works for me and the sources I listen to. Sound quality is good, with enough volume and good frequency response to handle the noisy open/closed 914 passenger compartment. I'd be interested in seeing some newer systems people have installed. Post yours here. |
