I am doing a rotisserie restoration on a 1970 914-6. The engine for the restoration will be a 2.7 with much greater torque and horsepower than the more modest 2.0. I intend to have as a street car and not race it so I was wondering what if any stiffening components would be recommended for my restoration. Your suggestions and knowledge in response would be much appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

I’m with Mark, but I would add save your money. A street car with a 2.7 does not require stiffening. Track car with flares and big tires is totally different animal. …….and should have the stiffening.
