I’ve had four 914s, but this is my first six, a late eighties with MoTronic FI. It has headers with megaphones… no muffler. Getting ready to install a Dansk sport muffler. Will the MoTronic be able to read the change and adjust or will that need to be done by a humanoid, lol. If the latter, will she run well enough to get her to such a humanoid ten miles away?

The back pressure change is tiny until WOT and maybe not that bad at WOT.
The modern FI should adapt fine. Keep the oxygen sensor/sensors if it has them. |
