Testing the windshield washer in our 1970 914-6. When I pull the wiper / washer lever I can hear a slight thud or click and then the wipers cycle. I have confirmed the noise is the electric pump as I can feel it move slightly if I put my hand on it while someone else pulls the lever. Does that mean the pump is good, or does a good working pump make a different noise?

I've been through many threads about the squirters not working, but haven't found much discussion about the electric pump itself.

Thanks.

Nice video. The grease you used will wind up in the hoses and on the windscreen, but the washer fluid should dilute it soon enough. Might get a smear initially.
Great save.
