People from other car marques ask me both why Porsche for me, but also for so many others. Why Porsche? Because unlike many vintage car marques, Porsche is still racing and still winning. There is a reason they have won Le Mans more time than anyone else, they were built to race from the beginning, and they've never stopped! IMSA 2025 Champions, a trifecta. Porsche Penske Motorsport has taken all three 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles: Drivers’, Teams’, and Manufacturers’. Raceborn indeed!

Yes! This for sure. I started with a 59 VW Ragtop and have had a number of air cooled VWs over the last 42 years, including my current 62 ragtop Beetle. Air cooled Porsche just seemed a logical next step, hence the 914s. Absolutely no disrespect intended towards anyone else, but I couldn't give a rat's a** about speed, racing, power, status, outlaw builds, etc. If those things matter to you, I raise my glass and celebrate with you what you love. I just want to drive something fun that is also interesting. Looking out over the front hood of the 914 or the Beetle just brings a smile to my face. Not a whole lot to smile about in the USA right now, so I treasure that experience even more nowadays.
