Can anyone tell me what this is? '75 1.8L mounted behind a black steel bubble low on the frunk core support in front of the fuel tank (driver's side). I thought it might be the fuel filter, but it just doesn't look right.

OK, thanks folks. That makes a ton of sense. It turns out that what I thought was the fuel pump was actually the dryer cannister for my dealer installed AC. I need to get my glasses fixed.
Now, to get to the fuel filter, do I have to pull out the pump or is there an easier way to get to it? |
