This is for anybody else doing a clutch cable install or adjustment. If you bought a new pin for the clevis at the pedal cluster, make sure that the pin goes through both sides.
I fought with this thing for hours thinking that I was just angling it wrong or something. I finally had enough and said to myself it can't be this hard. Tested the pin and the clevis outside the tunnel and sure enough it would only fit through one side. The old one fit through both sides no problem. So used a file to open the stubborn hole just a little bit and had that cable installed in seconds. TL:DR test the pin and clevis outside the car before attempting install. |

Wecome the the world of AFTERMARKET CRAP. They seem to be able to NOT check anything for proper fitment.

Wecome the the world of AFTERMARKET CRAP. They seem to be able to NOT check anything for proper fitment. Which assumes that the manufacturer knows what they are making. We put in holes, no one told us anything about a pin. I used a genuine part and it fitted great no problem ,however the replacement cable was rubbish that also came from Pelican ,ended up fitting the OG cable and sorted it after 300 miles of issues . |
