Greetings - please move this if needed as it's not truly a 914 question but I think the general knowledge translates.
This is a pic of the shift coupler on my 67 911. am I incorrect in assuming the center pin should stretch across and fully seat inside both bushings? It actually looks like the center pin is too short as it's flush on one side but not the other. I was in there to adjust the throw as I'd like to not have to reach quite so far for 2nd and 4th when I saw it. I've only had this car since April so I'm still in the getting-to-know-you phase... Yes TOO short. On a side bar note, looks like you have OVAL bushings, adding to sloppy shifting
